Services

The Service Process begins with a phone call to Mary Pontari, Wrapping Convenience business owner.  You may call 518-366-7900 to schedule a drop off and pick up time.  You will find this experience friendly and fun.  The steps outlined below are necessary to follow so you will receive the professional care and expected outcome.

The last pick-up date to receive wrapped items is one week prior to Christmas Eve.  Therefore, it is recommended you schedule early as scheduling stops as soon as all slots are filled.  First come, first serve.

1)  Starts with a Phone Conversation

You will be asked:
  • What is the number of gifts to be wrapped for each person?  This will help to determine the pick-up date.
  • Do you wish price tags to be removed and strike-through on packages? If so, this will also help to determine the pick up time, as well as, serving your request.  Note:  I will gladly attach gift receipts to the box; however, you will need to tape them to the item.
  • Do you require boxes?  If so, how many?  This can also be discussed at drop-off.
  • Will you customize the wrapping of your gifts (choosing the paper, ribbon, bow, embellishments as appropriate) or will you ask me to design them accordingly with the selected Price Description you choose?
  • Did you read the Covid-19 regulations on my website under the 'Services' tab?  Do you have any questions?
  • Did you read the information regarding breakable items $50.00 or more under the 'Services' or 'Rates' tab?  Do you have any questions?
  • We will schedule a drop-off date/time.

2)  At drop-off:
  • Pets, vaping, alcoholic beverages and smoking is NOT permitted in the establishment.
  • Allot adequate time with the business owner during the drop-off process.
  • If we return to a pandemic, masks are to be worn by all parties during the drop-off process.
  • Together we will inspect each gift to verify there are no ink tags, tears/rips/holes, damage, chips or breaks in each item.
  • Gifts will be sorted by name (i.e. Joey Sr., Joey Jr.), if not already sorted by the customer. They will be separated and tagged.
  • You will be asked if you understand the policy on breakable items $50.00 and over.  Do you wish to sign the waiver agreement?
  • A review of which gifts will need strike-through and tags need to be removed from the item(s).  Business owner will gladly attach a gift receipt to the inside of a box or item if the customer specifies this request and provides which gift receipt goes with what item.
  • You will decide if you want a box(es) purchased and identify for which gifts.
  • If the customer has chosen to customize any of the gifts, during this time they will select the wrapping paper, ribbon, bow and embellishment according to the description price chosen.  These supplies will specifically be set aside for the customer.
  • Business owner notifies the customer she will do her best to keep the larger homemade bows and embellishments from being hot glued/taped so they may be used again; however, this usually does not work out.  It is the judgement of the business owner to determine how best to keep the gift intact.
  • An estimated price will be given once the sizes and wrapping description has been determined.
  • A pick-up date/time will be determined.

3) During the Wrapping:
  • The business owner will handle each item with care.
  • The business owner will design and wrap each gift with respect and love.
  • The business owner will wash hands regularly.  Gloves will be worn only upon request.
  • Just prior to pick-up, the wrapped gifts will be lightly mist with Lysol spray.

4) At Pick-up:
  • It is encouraged that the person who went through the dropped off process be the person to pick up the gifts.  They should review all of the gifts to ensure they meet their original request.  Having said this please allow extra time during the pick-up.
  • All Covid-19 regulations must be followed.  Masks are to be worn by all parties during the pick-up process.
  • Due to delicateness of the finished product, it is encouraged that the customer treat each item with care.
  • Payment is expected at the time of pick-up.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
  • A receipt will be given to the customer.
Pick-up and Delivery Service for Persons with Disabilities:
This is a local business.  Drop off and pick up is the responsibility of each client at the Business owner’s location.  However, if a person has a disability that prevents them from traveling and they are within 30 miles one way, arrangements may be made IF gas/time costs are paid to the client.  Mileage cost will depend on the current mileage rate. Travel time cost is $5.00 per hour or prorated round trip.

In this case, the unwrapped gifts will be inspected at the customer’s home.  Should the customer agree to sign an agreement waiver to have the business owner wrap breakable item(s) costing $50.00 or more, the form will be signed at the time of pick-up.

Payment Method:
Cash only

The Last Pick-up Date:
The last pick-up date to receive their wrapped presents is one week prior to Christmas Eve.  I recommend you schedule early as scheduling stops as soon as all slots are filled. First come, first serve.

Music Rights:
I do not own the rights to the music playing in my videos or place of business.

Covid-19 Regulations:
  • Due to the NYS regulations regarding Covid-19, and perhaps new presidential regulations pertaining to the virus, all services are subject to change to abide by the laws and policies.
  • At drop off and pick up, the owner and all parties entering the owner’s residence are required to wear a mask, IF we are in a pandemic or state law.
  • The business owner will wash hands regularly before touching the customer’s gifts and wrapping supplies/items.
  • If the customer request gloves, the business owner will certainly wear them.
  • Hand sanitizer will made available.
  • Before pick-up, all items will be mist with Lysol spray.

Policy on Breakable or Deemed Damaged Items Costing the Customer $50.00 or More:
The business owner will not wrap any breakable item(s) or those that could be considered deemed damaged costing $50.00 or more unless a waiver agreement is signed by both parties – the client and business owner.  All items are inspected by both parties at drop off to ensure no items are damaged or broken. If the business owner breaks or damages an item while wrapping, the receipt of the item must be shown to the business owner and the cost of the item will be reimbursed to the customer if it is under $50.00.  The signed waiver agreement releases the owner of paying $50.00 or more for the damaged item.

Please seriously think about this and ask yourself if it is worth getting your breakable items wrapped if they cost you $50.00 or more.
